AMC developed specific health and safety policies and procedures by determining the course of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control.
AMC ensures that effective management system covering all aspects of FM service delivery is in place to identify the Occupational Health & Safety hazards and to reduce the risk to acceptable levels.
AMC SHE Team developed and continuously upholds a robust systematic method for ongoing hazard identification, risk assessment and determination of necessary controls for all tasks, works and processes to provide successful FM services.
AMC provides workers with the Safe System of Work (SSW) to identify the major hazards associated with the specified work activities and ensure that appropriate controls and processes are in place before work commences. The SSW includes Specific Guidelines on health and safety at work, these guidelines will be provided particularly to employees, contractors and sub-contractors for the tasks they are performing.
AMC provides firefighting services as a first response to any fires. AMC communicates with the Civil Defense to ensure their timely presence in case of any fire incidents.
AMC fully complies with the requirements of the local enforcement agency. Application of the SHE Guidelines to existing facilities will involve the establishment of site-specific targets with an appropriate timetable for achieving them. The environmental assessment process established by AMC will recommend applicable levels or measures, which, after approval from the Client, may become project- or site-specific requirements.
Utilities management – energy and conservation
AMC ensures the provision, maintenance and periodical testing of all utilities and distribution systems to include at a minimum:
AMC undertakes maintenance tasks on the utility networks promptly to minimize disruption to the community. Where this cannot be achieved, planned disruptions are to be communicated to both the residents and the Client’s Management in advance.
AMC identifies any potential energy saving schemes, including spend to save initiatives, and report to the Client.
